Almost every Pet insurance provider will provide some level of overseas care for your pet. This normally includes quarantine, worm treatments, emergency pet passport replacement and veterinary treatment.
If overseas care is going to form a fundamental part of your choice of provider then look at the poicy documents which are available on every pet insurance website. The small print is very interesting especially when it comes the maximum value to which the insurer will pay out.
Take note of the exclusions on the policy, for example, many pets must have a micro-chip in them when going abroad or the cover becomes nul and void so make sure you have all of your bases covered before you head off or it could become very worrying and expensive if anything happens to your pet.
